Lala Kent reveals being drunk for four days straight at Disney World pushed her to get sober during Vanderpump Rules reunion special

Being drunk at Walt Disney World for four days convinced Lala Kent, 29, to get sober, the SUR hostess said on Monday night’s Vanderpump Rules Season 7 reunion.

As she recently announced on Instagram, she’s been working a program and just celebrated six months of sobriety.

‘There were a lot of moments in my life that when I reflect back, I think, “That was alcohol-driven. That was alcohol-driven,”’ she explained.

Truth: Being drunk at Walt Disney World for four days convinced Lala Kent, 29, to get sober, the SUR hostess said on Monday night’s Vanderpump Rules Season 7 reunion

‘I went with my family and [fiancé Randall Emmett’s] family to Disney World, and I was drunk four days straight, from morning until night.’

‘I get on the plane—I’m face-chugging out of a bottle— and the next morning, I woke up and said, ‘I will never live this way again.’” And I reached out and got help.’

Asked to describe her relationship with alcohol, Lala said: ‘It’s like an unhealthy relationship, where you can’t live without that person, but then they abuse you.’

Her co-star, James Kennedy, 27, avoiding talking about the fact that friends have also urged him to stop drinking.

Castmate Tom Sandoval, 35, accused him of mixing it with uppers.

‘He just doesn’t seem to understand,’ said show star Lisa Vanderpump, 61. ‘He can’t stop. He’s his own worst enemy.’

Host Andy Cohen, 50, asked James to address something he’d once said about needing to drink to feel like himself.

‘Sometimes I feel like I just need to be on,’ admitted James, saying that people always want to meet him. ‘It gets hard sometimes, and after a whiskey or two, I feel on.’

It was an atypically somber moment for the reunion, which otherwise centered around the many ways in which James had upset members of the cast.

Tempers flared at the show’s open, with everyone still arguing over beef from the first part of the reunion, and walking off set to take a breather.

‘Look at me—I’m in shambles over here,’ said Kennedy, crying to Lisa.

The cast had set upon him in the previous episode after he made a crack on Twitter about Jax Taylor, 39, and his estrangement from his late father.

‘You’ve got this,’ Lisa consoled him. ‘You’ve got to understand, you’re saying something about his father. There’s no way you can deny responsibility for that.’

‘I said I’m sorry but they keep coming for me,’ James said.

Lisa made everyone a special offer as the cast returned to their seats: ‘If anybody wants to enjoy Puffy, he’s a therapy dog,’ she said, holding out her Pomeranian.

Jax, due to be married to Brittany Cartwright, 30, later this year, addressed the fact that he had changed for his girlfriend, whom Lisa praised.

Ariana Madix, 33, and Lala Kent discussed a drunken sexual encounter they’d shared last year. It became fodder for the show, to Ariana’s dismay.

‘I felt like it was kind of an unspoken thing that unless [all] of us were on board with sharing that, that it wouldn’t be shared,’ said Ariana.

Her boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, 35, said that—despite being blackout drunk—Lala had asked his permission before making out with his girlfriend.

‘I have manners!’ Lala said, laughing.

She told her mother the next day: ‘I said, “Mom, I ate Ariana’s cookie last night,” and she goes, “Oh, you are so bad!”’

Asked by Andy if she identified as ‘fluid,’ Lala said: ‘I’ve hooked up with chicks before… I prefer a pee-pee to a vee-vee.’

All but one of the other women at the reunion had made out with women.

‘So everybody here has hooked up with a girl except me,’ said Lisa.

‘And me,’ said Andy.

Talk turned to the success of TomTom, the bar co-owned by Lisa, Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, 36, which opened last August.

‘We’ve had Lady Gaga, Paul Abdul, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez all in one week,’ a pleased Sandoval noted.

‘First thing [Gaga] said to me is she wanted to see Brittany’s boobs,’ remembered Jax, who showed the pop singer a pic. ‘She’s like, ‘Who’s her doctor?’”

Andy asked Sandoval if he still drove the white motorcycle and sidecar he had driven to the opening of his bar. Sandoval immediately took him for a ride outside the studio.

Stassi Schroeder, 30, was asked about OOTD (Outfit of the Day), a holiday she created.

‘It’s not just about like, fashion. It really is about feeling good about yourself,’ she explained. ‘And when you take the extra 10 minutes, to like, put on a really sharp, awesome outfit you do feel good about yourself. And when I see that you b****s are liking my outfit on Instagram, I feel really good about myself.’

Eventually, the talk returned to James Kennedy.

‘People like him have made me feel ashamed to be in my own body,’ said Katie Maloney-Schwartz, 32, who had gotten James fired from SUR the previous year for fat-shaming her. ‘Do you know what that feels like, you little piece of s**t?’

‘Yeah. Yeah, I do. See “little.” ‘Cause you’ve made fun of my shorts; you’ve called me ‘anorexic,’ you’ve called me too skinny. So I do know how it feels,’ said James.

‘You’re all f*****g hypocrites!’ shouted a fed-up Tom Sandoval.

A lot of people online cast Katie as the villain in the situation, Andy pointed out.

Katie said it didn’t bother her.

‘This is about having the courage to stand up for yourself, even if it means getting enemies or having people hate you,’ she affirmed. ‘At the end of the day, I did something I was proud of, that I thought was noble.’

‘Brunchmaster general,’ SUR hostess and transgender activist Billie Lee, 35, stopped by to talk about completing gender confirmation surgery.

‘It’s nice to look in the mirror, even when I’m having sex, and my body looks the way I’ve always imagined it to,’ said Billie, who recently hooked up with Lisa’s son, Max.

‘It’s hard dating as a trans woman, but I’m putting out good vibes,’ she continued, adding: ‘I do want to have a baby soon—I want to adopt.’

She shared that she’d been hurt when castmates left her out of their Girls’ Night event at SUR.

Lisa pointed out that the cast had always been supportive of Billie, while Stassi called her claims to the contrary ‘damaging.’

‘All I’m saying is get your head out of your a**, and make some time to include the trans woman working there,’ Billie said to Stassi.

Switching topics, Andy turned to Lala Kent, asking her about her temper. ‘It’s really exhausting to school people on life,’ she said. ‘It’s, like, a waste of my time.’

‘She projects nonstop—and a lot of it’s false,’ said Billie, who calls Lala the Donald Trump of SUR. ‘You said the meanest things [one] day—you called me trash.’

‘You acted like trash,’ Lala said.

‘You act like a high class prostitute all the time,’ retorted Billie.

Despite the sniping, five cast members revealed that they had just bought homes within close range of one another.

‘I love to see that—more than anything. It makes me happy to see them progress,’ said Lisa.

Most cheered the suggestion that there would soon be a Vanderpump Rules baby boom.

‘I cannot wait to be a mom,’ said Brittany.

Ariana, however bristled, noting that she is often asked when she’s having babies at red-carpet events when her boyfriend, Tom, is asked about his career: ‘It’s incredibly misogynistic.’

At show’s end, the cast talked about a visit paid to Lisa by James’ mother, who praised the SUR co-owner for being ‘a mother figure’ for her boy.

There seemed to be an acknowledgement that James lacked family support.

‘I feel awful for him that he was raised by a bunch of fucking a******s,’ said Kristen Doute, as James stomped off set.

‘I’m not going to sit here and listen to them s******g on my family if you don’t expect me to rip someone’s f*****g head off,’ James said.

Tune into Vanderpump Rules Reunion Part 3 next Monday at 9 pm on Bravo.
