Arie Luyendyk Jr and wife Lauren Burnham of The Bachelor share first photo of their daughter as they reveal her name
Arie Luyendyk Jr and his wife Lauren Burnham welcomed their baby girl on Wednesday.
And the next day the reality TV couple – who met on The Bachelor – shared the name of their bundle of joy: Alessi. The middle name is Ren.
The stars also shared a photo of the newborn as she was being held by her mother in her hospital bed while crying.

The caption read, ‘Alessi Ren Luyendyk. Born May 29, 2019 @ 2:09pm. 6lbs, 13 oz. 20 inches long. She is sweet, calm and @ariejr and I could not be more in love with her.’
Arie added to his wife’s post: ‘My heart.’
According to HouseOfNames.com, ‘The distinguished surname Alessi can be traced back to the ancient and beautiful region of Venice. … Alessi is a patronymic surname, a name derived from the father’s given name. The surname Alessi came from the personal name “Alessio” which is derived from the Latin Alexius which means to defend or to protect.’
Ren is a popular name in Japan. It is also the middle name of Star Wars Kylo Ren, the son of Princess Leia and Han Solo.
Arie shared the baby news on Instagram.
‘We have a healthy, BEAUTIFUL baby girl,’ he captioned adding a love heart.

Arie’s announcement comes after he’s been giving his fans a behind-the-scenes look into Lauren’s labor.
He posted on Tuesday that his Bachelor wife had done into labor, captioning the photo: ‘IT’S HAPPENING!’

A few hours earlier Arie shared more snaps of the couple on Instagram Stories and wrote: ‘Is it time yet? #39weekspregnant.’
The couple had a bit of fun in the hospital with Lauren pushing the racing driver in a wheel chair.
‘Her idea not mine’ he made sure to tell his followers.
The duo have been in the hospital for about 24 hours with Arie looking tired in a selfie he shared on Wednesday writing: ‘@Lauren_Burnham is doing incredible… she went into labor yesterday afternoon’.

Arie and Lauren met during his second time around as the Bachelor on season 22 and got engaged in March 2018.

Lauren was initially the runner up, but Arie realized that he could not get over the feelings he had for her. He then broke-up with winner Becca Kufrin and proposed to Lauren on the After the Final Rose Ceremony.
The duo married in Hawaii in January, after announcing they were expecting in November.
They recently teased that they have already picked out a name for their daughter.
‘It was a name that we kind of tweaked into something unique,’ Lauren told Entertainment Tonight. ‘We don’t really know anybody who’s named that.’
