Trans murderer, 23, moved back to all-male jail after ‘romping with naked female inmate’

Transgender murderer, 23, is moved back to all-male jail after ‘romping with a naked female inmate weeks after being moved to women’s prison’

  • Kayleigh Woods requested move to women-only Eastwood Park, Gloucs in 2017
  • But within weeks she had started sexual relationship with female inmate
  • Governor had her removed and set to tough HMP Gartree, Leicestershire
  • She and then-boyfriend Jack Williams, 20, murdered flatmate Bethany Hill, 20 in 2017 and were jailed for 26 years

Kayleigh Woods, 23, had only been at HMP Eastwood Park, Gloucs for a matter of weeks before prison officials found the two convicts in a ‘state of undress’

A transgender killer who asked to be moved to an all-female jail has been caught romping with another female.

Kayleigh Woods, 23, had only been at HMP Eastwood Park, Gloucs for a matter of weeks before prison officials found the two convicts in a ‘state of undress’.

She had been serving a 26-year sentencing for the horrific murder of her flatmate at men-only HMP Hewell, near Redditch, Worcs.

Woods, formerly Kyle Lockwood, had requested the transfer to Eastwood Park shortly after arriving in 2017.

She did not have a Gender Recognition Certificate, but the Transgender Case Board decided her lack of sex offences meant she posed little risk to female inmates.

But it wasn’t long before Woods had begun a secret affair with another convict.

Prison staff suspicious of her found the pair together, and had her case reported back to the TCB.

‘Prison officers found one of the pair in a state of undress. A toilet seat had also been broken. It was pretty clear what they’d been up to,’ a source told the Sun.

It is claimed the prison’s governor ‘went up the wall’ when told about the incident.

She has since been moved to HMP Gartree, Leics, but it is not known whether she will remain there.

In 2016, Woods and then-boyfriend Jack Williams, 21, tied up flatmate Bethany Hill by her wrists before slashing her throat.

She was found ‘drenched’ in blood with stab wounds to her neck.

It was revealed that they practised the sadistic torture on a Barbie doll before murdering Ms Hill in Stratford-upon-Avon, West Midlands.

Last year it emerged that another trans convict, Karen White, 52, had duped prison officials in order to target females at New Hall women’s jail in West Yorks.

White had not undertake gender reassignment — and within weeks had molested her first inmate.

A Prison Service spokeswoman said last night: ‘The safety of all our prisoners is an absolute priority.

While we work to manage all prisoners, including those who are transgender, sensitively and in line with the law, we can and will take action where their behaviour provides cause for concern.’

There are about 125 transgender prisoners in England and Wales, of which 60 are sex offenders.
