    The Sopranos star Michael Imperioli is convinced that he contracted the coronavirus at the end of February, though he has recovered now.

    The 54-year-old actor revealed that he was ‘extremely ill’ when he landed in California from New York on March 1, he told Page Six on Tuesday.

    He also added that his entire family contracted the virus, though they are all on the road to recovery now.

    ‘I was really sick. I didn’t get tested but I was really sick in New York at the end of February,’ Imperioli said.

    The actor that he believes, ‘my wife and one of my kids got it,’ before revealing why they didn’t get tested.

    ‘We had most of the symptoms. We didn’t get tested because we weren’t sick enough to go to the hospital,’ the actor said.

    He added, ‘We didn’t want to go to the hospital. We haven’t been tested … We’re better now but we were pretty sick.’

    Imperioli has been married to Victoria Chlebowski since 1995, and they have three children together, though it isn’t clear which child he thinks was infected.

    While he did not offer more details, the actor and his family are now in good health.

    Imperioli made his acting debut in the 1989 drama Lean On Me, which lead to roles such as his memorable character Spider in Goodfellas a year later.

    He appeared in smaller roles in a string of hit movies like Malcolm X, Bad Boys, Last Man Standing and Summer of Sam before he was cast as Christopher Moltisanti in the iconic HBO series The Sopranos.

    The actor won an Emmy for his work as Moltisanti, the protege of Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), and earned four more nominations throughout the show’s run.

    After The Sopranos went off the air in 2007, Imperioli would go on to star in Life on Mars and Detroit 1-8-7. 

    He also starred in movies such as the Oldboy remake, The Call, The Scribbler and had roles on Californication, Mad Dogs, Hawaii Five-0 and Alex Inc.

    Imperioli was most recently featured in an episode of Watchmen, the movie Primal and Lincoln Rhyme: The Hunt for the Bone Collector.
