A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a baby was found dead at a home in North-west London today.
Police officers were called to an address in Wembley at approximately 9.51am to a report of an injured infant.
Despite the efforts of the London Ambulance Service, the baby, who is believed to be less than a year old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the death, a woman was today arrested and remains in custody.
Next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.

North West Commander Roy Smith said: ‘This is a tragic incident and my thoughts are with all those affected including the family and our first responders who rushed to the scene.
