Pepe Reina is expected to complete a deal to join Lazio from Serie A rivals AC Milan this week
Reina wanted to play for a Champions League team this season.
AC Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League after finishing sixth in the Serie A last season.
Reina was back-up to Gianluigi Donarumma at the San Siro, and he is also expected to play second fiddle to Lazio No 1 Thomas Strakosha.
The veteran keeper spent the second-half of last season away on loan at Aston Villa
Since joining AC Milan in 2018, Reina has only ever made 13 appearances for the club in all competitions.
AC Milan are looking to cash in on the goalkeeper who is just about to enter his final year of his contract with the club.
His desire for first-team football saw him make a temporary switch in the January window to Aston Villa as cover for the injured Tom Heaton.
He made 12 appearances while on loan at Villa Park helping the cub maintain their Premier League status.
