- Spurs star Tanguy Ndombele has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus
- He will spend 14 days in self-isolation as a result of contracting the virus
- France boss Didier Deschamps will not call the 23-year-old up to his squad
According to L’Equipe, the £65million signing has contracted the virus and as such will not be called up to Didier Deschamps’ squad, which is set to be announced on Thursday.
Ndombele will have to sit out Spurs’ pre-season schedule for the next 14 days as a result of this latest news. Jose Mourinho’s men have already featured in one pre-season outing, when they beat Ipswich 3-0 last weekend.
The 23-year-old Frenchman will be hoping to have a more positive season in north London than his debut campaign. Ndombele scored two goals and provided four assists for Spurs in the 2019-20 season.
