‘Just after midnight I heard a lot of screaming from a female and a lot of verbal abuse from a male, a lot of threatening… calling her all sorts of names (like) mutt, dog, and all sorts of abuse,’ Freda Alesana told the Courier Mail.
‘(The injured woman) ran across the road, then I heard the lady across the road say come here love, I’ll call the police.
‘I could hear the man calling out to her to get out of that house.’

‘I will add that my partner and our girls as well were amazing.
‘Absolutely terrifying situation we’ve been involved in… Fair to say we could have all been injured or killed for helping save someone.
‘We are however safe and well, including the lady we protected, due to some quick thinking on my partner’s behalf, and the actions of the QPS.’
