    Home cook reveals how she makes banana bread in just three MINUTES – no oven required

    A savvy home cook has shared an easy way to make banana bread in only three minutes – no oven required.

    Ayeh, from Sydney, made a concise 20-second TikTok video explaining how to prepare the simple breakfast treat to her 167,000 followers.

    To make the meal in a mug, she used one ripe banana, honey, coconut oil, almond milk, oat flour, baking powder, cinnamon and topped with walnuts.

    Ayeh, from Sydney, made a concise 20-second TikTok video explaining how to prepare the quick and healthy breakfast meal to her 167,000 followers

    ‘It’s more like a banana bread pudding, but it tastes so good,’ Ayeh said.

    She first smashed the ripe banana at the bottom of the mug using a fork, then added in the honey, coconut oil and almond milk and combined well.

    She then added in the rest of the ingredients and mixed again for a second time before baking the ‘bread’ in the microwave on high for three minutes.

    The tasty meal would be ideal for those who are time poor or who are working from home and desire a warm breakfast.

    HOW TO MAKE BANANA BREAD IN A MUG  

    INGREDIENTS: 

    • 1 ripe banana 
    • 1 teaspoon honey or rice malt syrup 
    • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
    • 1 tablespoon almond milk 
    • 3 tablespoons oat flour or regular flour 
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • Pinch of cinnamon 
    • Walnut pieces  

    METHOD:

    Smash the ripe banana at the bottom of the mug then add in the honey, coconut oil and almond milk and combine well 

    Add in the oat or regular flour, baking powder and cinnamon and stir well 

    Top with walnuts and place in the microwave to cook on high for three minutes

    Eat and enjoy

    Since publishing the video online on July 28, it has gone viral and been viewed more than 90,000 times. 

    Hundreds of TikTok users were impressed with the simplicity of the meal and seemed eager to try make it for themselves.

    ‘Trying this tonight, thanks!’ one man said.

    ‘Can you use normal flour instead of oar flour?’ a woman asked, and Ayeh said: ‘Of course!’

    A third added: ‘You are really good at cooking.’
