At least 20 people were injured Wednesday morning after an accident involving construction cranes in Austin, Texas, the authorities said.
The Austin-Travis County EMS said on Twitter that there were 20 patients, with 16 people taken to a hospital, and that eight ambulances had responded to the incident.
It was not immediately clear what had led to the collapse, or how severe the injuries were. The news station KVUE broadcast video of two cranes that had collided at a construction site.
Rescue workers were trying to reach a crane operator, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.
The accident took place near a mixed-use development in East Austin, in an area with significant construction.
