Frank Lampard insists he has too much respect for Roy Hodgson to have a row with the Palace boss

‘There will be no touchline spats with him’: Frank Lampard insists he has too much respect for Roy Hodgson to have a row with the Crystal Palace manager… and Blues boss says he won’t listen to Jose Mourinho’s remarks after midweek clash against Tottenham

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard says he will not have a touchline spat with Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson during their match on Saturday.

But Lampard said on Friday that ‘any remarks on the touchline can’t be seen as advice’ and insisted he has too much respect for Hodgson to have a row with him.

‘His career has been exceptional. There will be no touchline spats with him.’

But when asked if he would take heed of Mourinho’s words on Tuesday, when he inferred that Lampard talked too much when leading 1-0, Lampard said: ‘I don’t think any remarks on the touchline can be seen as advice. I have people who I listen to.’
