‘Outdoor training is the best’: Lewis Hamilton displays his ripped physique as he reaches the summit on a hike

He recently won the Eifel Grand Prix to match Michael Schumacher’s tally of 91 victories.

And Lewis Hamilton appeared to be taking a break from the racing track as he reached the summit during a hike on Tuesday.

The sportsman, 35, displayed his ripped physique as he overlooked the breathtaking views of the stunning harbour and revealed how ‘outdoor training is the best.’

Wow: Lewis Hamilton, 35, appeared to be taking a break from the racing track as he reached the summit during a hike on Tuesday

Lewis opted for khaki camouflage print shorts and wore white Puma trainers for the excursion.

Showing off his array of tattoos, Lewis posed with his sunglasses on before removing his shades to take in the luscious scenery.

The F1 champion wore his hair in braids and finished his look with layered gold chains.

Captioning his post to Instagram, he penned: ‘Outdoor training is the best, fresh air and all. I love to hike. Wishing everyone an amazing day.’

It comes after Lewis was in Germany for the Eifel Grand Prix, held at the iconic Nürburgring motorsports complex.

Officially, the German Grand Prix is on hiatus this year amid the coronavirus pandemic, with the Eifel Grand Prix – named after a nearby mountain range – replacing it.

The legendary driver Michael Schumacher, 51, is confined to barracks as he wages a glacial recovery following the horrific skiing accident that robbed him of his vitality nearly seven years ago.

It was left to Michael’s 21-year-old son Mick, an aspiring Formula One driver and leader of the F2 standings, to perform the rituals on behalf of a private, tight family, to hand one of his father’s old helmets to Lewis like a baton.

‘Getting to Formula One was the first step of the dream, and then it was emulating Ayrton (Senna),’ said Lewis.

‘But Michael was just so far ahead, it was beyond my wildest dreams that I could be here today having equalled this record.’
