Roxy Jacenko ‘lasted just half a day’ on SAS Australia before quitting the show

Roxy Jacenko ‘lasted just half a day’ on SAS Australia before quitting the show – as she reveals the REAL story behind her early exit

Roxy Jacenko won’t be rushing to join the SAS any time soon.

The PR guru, 40, will try her hand at military training on Seven’s military-style reality show SAS Australia this week, but reports claim she won’t be on the show for long.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Roxy lasted just half a day on SAS Australia’s Snowy Mountains set before throwing in the towel.

Can’t take the heat? Roxy Jacenko, reportedly quit filming SAS Australia after half a day of filming

In the time that she did spend on the show, Roxy was reportedly pushed out of a helicopter, punched by former Ironwoman Candice Warner and screamed at by SAS agents.

Earlier this month, The Daily Telegraph reported that Roxy departed the rigorous series due to a ‘lack of comforts’.

However, Roxy has insisted she exited the show early because she was still recovering from injuries sustained during a horse riding accident prior to the show.

‘It was very challenging for me. Having fractured my hip and pelvis six weeks before departure for filming was a disaster,’ she told The Daily Telegraph.

As for how she is perceived by audiences, Roxy has made it clear she couldn’t care less.

‘It’s not about trying to make the public like me… I don’t actually care what everybody thinks because the people with opinions know nothing,’ she told Perth Now earlier this month.

‘It was a business transaction, not about fame – they either like me or loathe me and if they loathe me, I don’t really care.’

Filming for SAS Australia began earlier this year in Queenstown, New Zealand, but production was relocated to the NSW Snowy Mountains due to travel restrictions being enforced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starring alongside Roxy is convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby, comedian Merrick Watts and ex-WAG Arabella Del Busso.

SAS Australia premieres on October 19 at 7:30pm on Channel Seven
