The Bachelorette throw shade at former Bachelor Blake Garvey in a blink-and-you’ll-miss it moment

Did you spot it? The Bachelorette throw shade at former Bachelor Blake Garvey in a blink-and-you’ll-miss it moment during Halloween special

The Bachelorette kicked off Wednesday night’s episode with a rollicking Halloween party, complete with quirky costumes, trick-or-treating and spooky decorations.

But perhaps the most chilling detail of the horror-themed group date was a reference to former Bachelor Blake Garvey.

Lurking among the decorations was a skeleton dressed in a suit and bow-tie, with a red rose attached to it’s label.

In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it closeup shot, viewers noticed the skeleton was wearing a name tag that read ‘Blake G’.

Host Osher Günsberg alerted fans to the tongue-in-cheek reference as the episode aired, Tweeting: ‘Oh my goodness. Did you see that skeleton? Did you SEE the name on it?’

Producers’ decision to represent Blake as a skeleton could well have been a sly reference to Blake’s showbiz career, or perhaps an homage to the horrors of his days as ‘Australia’s most hated man’.

Blake was branded a ‘love rat’ following his rise to fame on the Ten show in 2014.

During the show’s grand finale, the Bachelor proposed to Sam Frost – only to dump her weeks later for second runner-up Louise.

The couple then went on to enjoy a two year relationship before splitting.

Discussing their decision to end things, Blake told New Idea: ‘We were walking on eggshells around each other, always trying to say the right thing … It was suffocating.’

Blake retired from from the celebrity world following his split from Louise in 2016, and now works as a real estate agent in Perth.
