But it seems that EastEnders‘ Denise Fox will be forced to team up with her former flame Phil Mitchell as they plot to bring down the villainous Ellie Nixon.
First look snaps show the pair in the midst of a tense exchange as they debate whether to team up to get their son Raymond back from adoptive grandmother Ellie, after she demanded £150,000 to hand over custody of him.

Denise (played by Diane Parrish) and Phil (Steve McFadden) have been struggling to decide how to move forward, after Ellie refused to hand over their son following the death of his adoptive parents.
When he was first born they agreed to put him up for adoption, but Phil has been reluctant to let his son go for the second time.
It seems the pair will agree that joining forces is the only way to defeat Ellie, as they are unable to pay her, and fans will have to wait and see whether they succeed.

Given his reputation for taking matters into his own hands, it’s likely Phil won’t hold back when it comes to getting his son back.
However it’s been hinted he could face plenty of roadblocks should he take Ellie to court, given his extensive criminal background.
Ellie has already made a huge impact since she arrived in Albert Square, and following the death of Raymond’s parents it’s been hinted she could have been involved in their death.

The sinister character is being played by singer Mica Paris, who found fame in the 80s with hits such as My One Temptation and Where is the Love.
Denise and Phil’s fling came as a surprise to many fans, leading to emotional scenes when she decided to give up her son for adoption to her family’s fury.
Despite Phil’s anger at the decision, he eventually agrees after briefly seeing his son.
