    Candice Warner was was grilled about her ‘toilet tryst’ with Sonny Bill Williams on Monday’s episode of SAS Australia – and she was left angered by the experience. 

    And fans rallied behind the 35-year-old online, with many showing their support on Twitter.

    Several questioned why the 13-year-old encounter was still being held against the WAG, while others praised her strength in the face of adversity.

    One person Tweeted: ‘People can say what they like about Candice Warner but she has got some dash. 

    ‘Ironwoman mentality starting to emerge. Don’t hear anyone giving Sonny Bill Williams a hard time over their tryst, funny that.’

    Another wrote:  ‘I had to Google this ‘incident’ about Candice. IT HAPPENED IN 2007 wtf get over it people geez. God forbid someone in their early 20s makes a mistake.’

    Another said:  ‘Don’t be triggered by the haters, Candice. When they bring up the bathroom sex, just say ‘yeah, I did it’. 

    ‘When they bring up the ball tampering say ‘I had nothing to do with it.’ You’re a good mother, a supportive wife and a strong, attractive woman.’

    Candice told the show's interrogators: 'There were incidents in South Africa where people were trying to make fun of me, mock me, belittle me in front of my family because of an incident that happened in the past. And that they think that's funny'

    The WAG became visibly angered as she recounted South African fans wearing masks featuring Sonny Bill’s face in an attempt to further humiliate her. 

    The masks were a reference to the 2007 incident in which Candice and Sonny were photographed being intimate inside a toilet at the Clovelly Hotel in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

    Asked to elaborate on the fling with Sonny, Candice snapped: ‘It was just a bad mistake. I don’t want to talk about it.’

    ‘I put myself in a situation where I shouldn’t have and because of that I brought embarrassment, shame to my family.’
