He completed the outfit with a pair of black jeans, a blue shirts and grey sneakers.
The Wolverine actor appeared to be in good spirits despite the grim weather, smiling and chatting to his friend.
Hugh’s companion looked stylish in a navy coat, which he paired with grey jeans, black sneakers and a face mask.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has brought much of the entertainment industry to a halt this year, Hugh celebrated his film Bad Education winning a Creative Arts Emmy last month.
Even the usually hard-to-please critics couldn’t speak highly enough of Hugh’s performance, with USA Today branding it ‘great acting’, while Decider called it an ‘Oscar-worthy role’.
Hugh will next be seen alongside Rebecca Ferguson and Thandie Newton in the sci-fi romance movie Reminiscence, which hits cinemas in 2021.

Meanwhile, on the personal front, Hugh recently rang in his milestone 52nd birthday.
Hugh has been married to actress Deborra-lee Furness since 1996. They are parents to two adopted children, Oscar, 20, and Ava, 15.
The family have been self-isolating in New York during the coronavirus pandemic.

While they have been based in the U.S. city for several years, Hugh is said to be contemplating a move back home to Sydney, where he owns a $6million property.
‘Hugh has privately considered a move back for years, but he never followed through with it because he has such a good life in the States,’ a source told New Idea earlier this year.
‘Besides his career, there’s a solid support network and he and Deb are now die-hard New Yorkers. They love the spirit of the Big Apple, plus the pace and excitement of being in a city that never sleeps.’
Despite this, Hugh is reportedly missing having Bondi Beach at his backdoor and still feels attached to the laid-back lifestyle in Australia.
