Gather round a roaring fire this autumn with the Harbour Housewares Cast Iron Fire Pit – now on sale for just £32.99 on Amazon

Gathering around a roaring fire is a fun way to impress garden guests and keep outdoor entertaining going, while toasting marshmallows is bound to delight the kids.

Fire pits can easily fetch up to £500 for state-of-the-art designs, but if you’re looking for an affordable outdoor heater that is durable, portable and efficient then the Harbour Housewares Cast Iron Fire Pit is a brilliant entry-level choice. And at £32.99, it’s hard to argue with the price.

In fact, despite its super affordable price tag, the Amazon reviews for the cast iron fire pit have been very impressive with customers praising it for its lightweight, sturdy design.

The sleek, wok-like design may look minimalist but its success is in its simplicity. Not only will it look good when not in use, but the deep bowl keeps the fire protected which throws out a good amount of heat, providing protection against the winter chill.

One impressed shopper wrote: ‘Great value, good size and a really nice simple design, by far the best I have seen within this price range. Excellent service, it arrived very quickly. I think it will provide lots of entertainment for the family.’

Another praised the price point and the performance of the fire pit. They wrote: ‘This fire pit is brilliant value for money. Comes in 2 parts so no fiddly putting together.

‘LARGE burning area. Gives off a good amount of heat. Even though it’s one of the cheaper fire pits it’s fantastic. You won’t be disappointed.’

A fire pit is a great way to create illuminate outdoor space and make the most out of your garden this autumn

A third added: ‘This simple firepit is great value. Its wok style bowl is ideal as a barbecue as well as firepit and its simple to pick up and put away compared to other heavier and bulky firepits. The steel bowl is a decent thickness so should last a few years if kept away from rain. Very impressive for the price.

Crafted from solid cast iron, this burner offers excellent heat radiation to keep you warm long into the evening. Despite being made of solid iron it’s surprisingly lightweight with many praising the easy assembly and how it can be moved around.

One thing to note – we recommend covering it up when not in use or turning it upside down to avoid it getting rusty.

‘Very pleased with this fire pit’ penned one shopper. ‘Simple design but works brilliantly. I’ve burned wood and coal on it and it gives out lots of heat. We’ve barbecued on it as well. Because the bowl is separate to the stand it’s easy to tip out the ash. Excellent value for money.’
