He is one of the most experienced television presenters in the country.
But when it comes to changing a tyre, Karl Stefanovic‘s skills leave a lot to be desired.
On Thursday, the Today show host, 46, went head to head with co-anchor Allison Langdon as they attempted to change a tyre alongside students from Stella Maris College in Manly, Sydney.
‘I’ve never had a flat tyre!’ He might the one of the most experienced television presenters in the country, but when it comes to changing a tyre, Karl Stefanovic’s, 46, skills leave something to be desired
‘I have never in my whole life had a flat tyre, so I would not know what to do,’ Karl admitted.
With timers set for both hosts, the challenge was on as they battled it out to see who could change a tyre quicker.
Allison sped into the lead, removing the hub cap with a drill, while Karl did it the ‘old-fashioned way’ and used a tyre iron.

‘Team Karl looks to be way behind here,’ sports presenter Alex Cullen said, commentating from the sidelines.
After some struggle, Karl managed to get his tyre off the car – but it was too late because Allison had already replaced her tyre.
‘Oh my God! Team Ally has done it before Karlos even got the tyre on,’ Alex said triumphantly.

The light-hearted competition comes after Karl said in July that working with Ally had been a highlight of his 15 years fronting the Today show.
‘I have never enjoyed the show more than right now,’ he told The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Karl, who previously hosted Today alongside the likes of Lisa Wilkinson and Georgie Gardner, added: ‘It’s been a tough year… but the camaraderie we have, the fun we have on set in between all the other serious stuff, is the best time I’ve ever had on the show.’
