    The Bachelorette‘s Carlin Sterritt has previously spoken about his mental health battles after finding fame on the show. 

    And on Thursday, the former reality star revealed he ‘still has the show’s counsellor on speed dial’ following his experience on Angie Kent’s season. 

    Commenting below a post on the official Bachelorette Instagram account that featured a clip from his season, the 31-year-old explained that the video brought back traumatic memories.

    ‘Thanks for the PTSD fam… still got the show’s counsellor on speed dial,’ he wrote. The telling comment was later picked up by the BachieGossip fan account.

    Carlin won Angie’s heart on the Channel 10 dating series, and the pair dated for about eight months before calling it quits in July this year. 

    Daily Mail Australia has contacted Carlin for comment.

    In May, Carlin opened up about his battle with depression and anxiety after struggling with fame following the series.

    ‘It’s so easy to portray a happy, ‘blessed’, fun, easy going life on social media…’ he wrote in a lengthy Instagram post.

    ‘But what people don’t see is the storm that we can have in our minds, the depression and anxiety that we struggle with daily,’ he continued.

    ‘It’s even harder being in the public eye. People think they know you from your 15 minutes on TV.

     ‘[They] will make up their minds about your whole character and even go out of their way to tell you how much they dislike you, without even scratching the surface of who you really are.’

    The personal trainer went on to reveal that he was officially diagnosed with depression and anxiety a few months ago, which led him to seek professional help.

    He then urged his followers to take care of their mental health during lockdown.
