    • On Tuesday, Kim revealed that she had asked her guests to quarantine for two weeks and carried out screening before flying them out for her extravaganza

This comes as Kourtney’s sister Kim attempted to claw back public favour by encouraging her 190million followers to vote after grabbing their ‘attention’ with her controversial 40th birthday trip.

The reality star shared yet more photos from the multi-million dollar holiday amid a mounting wave of disgust over the trip that took place during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Posting glamorous images of herself and mother Kris Jenner, 64, Kim encouraged her fans to go out and vote in the presidential election, without endorsing either Republican Donald Trump or Democrat Joe Biden

Kim wrote: ‘Now that I have your attention…this a reminder to VOTE. 6 days.’

The post marks the first time Kim has addressed the backlash surrounding her birthday trip, which saw her widely criticised for flying out 30 of her family members and closest friends to celebrate with a sense of ‘normality’ on a private island.

Kim has been trending on social media as everyone from fans to celebrities took issue with the vacation taking place amid global lockdowns.

In the snaps, Kim wore a figure-hugging orange bustier and midi skirt, which featured bold prints and were teamed with a pair of black sandals.

‘Momager’ Kris wore a frilly white dress with sheer sleeves, which was styled with statement earrings and a pair of silver earrings.

In a third image, Kim was flanked by one of her friends as they made their way to dinner on the tropical private island.

Despite her best efforts to win back approval from her followers, the post appeared to stir more disgust from the public as they commented below the images, stating that Kim was merely using it as an excuse to ‘post more vacay snaps’.

One person wrote: ‘You are really telling us to vote from your private island?’

While another: ‘Don’t think it’s fair that the privileged rich people get to escape while we have to suffer from this pandemic everyday.’

A third person said: ‘Girl please cut it out this was another excuse for you to post vacay selfies and rub it in peoples faces’.

Another added: ‘Instead of spending all that money on a damn trip you could have donated to food banks across this country.’

Another of Kim’s followers wrote: ‘TONE DEAF [crying laughing emoji].

A different person commented: ‘Disgusting. Would have been a more meaningful 40 if you took that money and helped families ruined by COVID. Your families selfishness never ceases to amaze me.’

One follower penned: ‘Meanwhile people can’t see their families.’

Others simply seemed intrigued who Kim would be voting for herself, as she failed to endorse either candidate, despite previously working with Trump’s administration on her prison reform campaign.

Not everyone blamed Kim for her holiday however, as one fan admitted that if they had the money they would also jet their friends out to a luxury island.

They said: ‘Happy Birthday! And job well done on all of your efforts to assist people within the criminal justice system. Ps ignore the haters I’d fly my friends to an island for my birthday if I could too!’

This is the first time Kim has appeared to address the criticism since posting a gallery of images on her Twitter and Instagram pages, documenting their lavish getaway.

Kim has been trending on social media as everyone from fans to celebrities took issue with the vacation taking place amid global lockdowns.

Up until this point Kardashian/Jenner family have seemingly ignored the outcry, as they continued to share images from their controversial trip on their respective social media platforms.

In recent days, Khloe Kardashian, 36, Kourtney and Kendall Jenner, 24, have all shared bikini clad images on their pages while enjoying the sun-drenched ‘secret’ location.

Khloe turned off the comments on her first Instagram post from the trip, which she shared on Wednesday, amid the growing negativity surrounding the family and friends vacation.

It was also revealed earlier this week on a teaser for their show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, that Khloe contracted coronavirus earlier in the pandemic.

It is believed that around 30 people joined Kim at the Tetiaroa atoll, where on the island the 35 luxury villas rent for up to $20,000 a night and have private pools.

The group had to charter an 88-seater Crystal Cruises jet to get fewer than 30 people there on October 20.

‘The group was limited to Kim’s closest family and friends. Everyone on the trip was repeatedly tested for COVID before they left in the middle of the night on a private Boeing 777,’ A source told the Page Six.

‘Once on the island they had lavish dinner after dinner, spa treatments and hikes through the nature sanctuary. There was no expense spared. Everyone was banned from posting on social media by Kim to ensure her privacy.’

Kim has been heavily criticized for taking the trip amid COVID-19, when so many people are dying from COVID-19 and suffering from losing their jobs, as well as not being able to get tested or see family for long periods of time.

‘For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.

‘Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment.

‘After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.

‘We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40’
