Michael Jackson’s famous Neverland Ranch is at center of dispute between owners and musical artist

Michael Jackson’s famous Neverland Ranch is at center of dispute between owners and musical artist Daeshard … who claims he was allowed to film video on premises

A musical artist named Daeshard and the company that owns Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch are at odds over whether he had permission to film a video on the property.

Daeshard, who hails from St.Petersburg, Florida, filmed the video for his song Hood at the famous estate in Los Olivos, California on July 23, and recently released it via YouTube.

Reps for Colony Capital told TMZ Monday that Daeshard had no authorization to be there; Daeshard could not specify to the outlet who exactly gave him permission to film at the 2,700-acre estate that day.

The latest: A musical artist named Daeshard and the company that owns Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch are at odds over whether he had permission to film a video on the property

Security told Daeshard and two of his associates that they were trespassing at the estate near Santa Barbara, California, and requested they leave after erasing the footage they had shot, Colony Capital told the outlet.

The rapper and two other people had three GoPro cameras and an iPhone while at the former home of the King of Pop, the company said.

They appeared to erase footage they had when property security officials asked them to, which is why Colony Capital officials said they declined to contact law enforcement about the trespassing claims.

Daeshard has also post a picture of the day on his Instagram account August 31, captioning the shot, ‘Nobody has been able to hang out at neverland ranch, Not even Janet them.’

The late Thriller singer sold the estate to the company for $22.5 million before his June 25, 2009 death. He was snapped in March of 2009 in London

The home, which the late Thriller singer sold to the company for $22.5 million before his June 25, 2009 death, include a 12,500 sq. ft mansion, a pool house that spans 3,700 sq. ft, a movie theater that seats 50, and a train station.

The video features multiple shots of the ranch and a tribute to the late Man in the Mirror artist.

On YouTube, opinions were split in the comment section for the video.

One said, ‘You spit on Michael Jackson grave by shooting that video unauthorized,’ while another said, ‘however you managed to shoot in such a special location like Neverland, I am glad you did as it is so heart warming to see it in a music video in 2020.’

Colony Capital officials said they declined to contact law enforcement about the trespassing claims after thinking the artist had deleted the footage
