    Police are looking to track down a motocross helmet-wearing suspect who stole a mobility scooter outside an elderly pensioner’s house.

    The owner, 82, parked his distinctive red scooter outside his home in Ultimo, in Sydney’s inner-city, on Sunday between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. 

    As soon as the man discovered the scooter was missing from his Macarthur Street address he contacted police.

    Officers from the Sydney City Police Area Command then launched an investigation into the matter.

    As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV vision of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

    The man depicted is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a slim build. 

    He was wearing a white jumper, long blue pants, white sneakers and a motocross helmet.

    Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report details online.
