    • Letter shared online with one of the workers saying it brought a tear to her eye

A young student has penned a heartwarming letter to their school’s lollipop lady, saying that her daily chatter makes even terrible days seem better.

The child at Mango Hill State School, in Mango Hill just north of Brisbane, didn’t leave their name but said the worker made them feel ‘much better’ even on their worst days.

A photo of the letter was shared to a community Facebook page with one of the lollipop ladies saying it brought a tear to her eye.

The student at Mango Hill State School penned a heartwarming letter to their school’s lollipop lady saying she made her and other students feel ‘much happier’

‘Hello lollipop lady, I’m sure you know who I am because I walk across the crossing everyday,’ the letter started.

‘I may not be the brightest kid everyday with my head hanging down… but you make me feel much better.

‘Although I have bad days all it takes is for someone to say “have a nice day” and I already know someone cares about me.’

The student said it wasn’t just them who appreciated the worker but that everyone at the school was ‘much happier’ when she was around.

The photo was flooded with comments praising both the school staff and the student for the ‘beautiful’ letter.

Therese Baker, one of Mango Hill’s lollipop ladies, said she and her co-workers were in awe when they read the letter.

‘I can speak for my co-workers in saying this is the most beautiful compliment to us,’ she wrote.

‘We love our job and to think we made a difference to someone’s day is fabulous.

‘I’m not ashamed to say I had tears when I read that beautiful letter.’
