Justin Bieber reunited with Dan + Shay to deliver a soul-stirring TV world premiere of their romantic song 10,000 Hours at the Country Music Association Awards.

Luminaries of the country music industry hit the stage this Wednesday evening at the Music City Center in the genre’s capital Nashville, Tennessee with the stands left empty by COVID-19 protocols.

However Justin, 26, from outside the country music world was on hand to lend his star power to the occasion with a minimalist performance during which he sat simply on a stool and sang his heart out.

Feel the heat: Justin Bieber reunited with Dan + Shay to deliver a soul-stirring TV world premiere of their romantic song 10,000 Hours at the Country Music Association Awards

Dan Smyers, who is currently sporting long curly hair and a beard, was seated at the piano accompanying the Baby singer during his performance.

Meanwhile Shay Mooney sat beside Justin, who combined his normal casual style with showbiz chic by tucking a T-shirt into a pair of pinstripe slacks and accessorizing with his usual knit beanie.

The song was originally released in October 2019 just four days after Justin and Hailey Bieber’s South Carolina nuptials which in turn came over a year after their courthouse wedding in New York.

Widely regarded as a love note from Justin to Hailey, the song got a music video that starred Justin alongside his new bride in a string of romantic poses.

During Wednesday night’s rendition of the number Justin broke into a melisma on the line: ‘I’m gonna love you,’ and then fleetingly made eye contact with the camera.

Multiple scheduled performers have had to drop out of the gig because they were either exposed to COVID-19 or actually were diagnosed with the virus.

Lee Brice announced last weekend that he had contracted COVID-19 and had to withdraw, and Tyler Hubbard of FLorida Georgia Line followed suit on Monday.

The band Lady A, formerly known as Lady Antebellum, dropped out of the CMA Awards just an hour before they were to begin saying that that one of their number had a family member test positive for COVID-19.

Wednesday’s evenings festivities began with a performance of Jason Aldean who paid tribute to the late Charlie Daniels by performing The Devil Went Down To Georgia.

Charlie co-wrote The Devil Went Down To Georgia in the late 1970s and it became his most beloved song before his death this July of a hemorrhagic stroke at the age of 83.

Jason looked every inch the country heartthrob for his performance, zipping himself up into a worn-looking black leather jacket and accessorizing with a cowboy hat.

He was joined onstage by crooner Ashley McBryde who showed off her tattooed arms in a fashionable little black dress as she accompanied herself instrumentally.

When you got it: Dierks Bentley flashed his toned forearms in a flannel shirt folded up to the elbow as he played acoustic guitar as part of the group tribute to Charlie

Only the best: The medley included the late country legend's numbers Texas, Long Haired Country Boy and Trudy as well as the song for which he is best loved today, The Devil Went Down To Georgia

Morgan Wallen was a smoldering onstage presence when he arrived with his guitar to deliver a rendition of his song More Than My Hometown from his album of the same name.

Sizzling: The 27-year-old emphasized his sculpted arms in a clinging orange sweatshirt which he wore under a plaid button-down that had the sleeves torn off

Hunky as ever: Letting his iconic mullet flow free he slipped into a dapper pair of seemingly snakeskin boots and pulled on a pair of blue jeans for his big night

The CMA Awards mark his first public performance since he was dropped from his scheduled Saturday Night Live gig last month for partying mask-less and kissing random women just days before.

Charlie Puth and Gabby Barrett united at the CMA Awards stage that evening to stir the audience’s souls with their song I Hope, which was on her album Goldmine this year.

Darius Rucker, who was co-hosting the evening’s festivities alongside Reba McEntire, got a band onstage with him to delight the crowd with his number Beers And Sunshine.

The uplifting song is the lead single from Darius’ next album, and he was meant to sing it on Wednesday with Lady A before they had to pull out of the gig.

Darius cut a festive figure in a bright burnt-orange jacket over a simple white T-shirt and blue jeans, perfectly evoking the relaxation and joy inspired by his song.

Charlie Daniels was not the only late country icon to get a tribute at the awards show as Jon Pardi also paid homage to Joe Diffie whose song Pickup Man he played.

Carly Pearce hit the stage in a slinky little black dress that emphasized her enviable hourglass frame as she sang her 2019 single I Hope You’re Happy Now.

She was joined onstage by Lee Brice of Lady A, who apparently was not the member of the band with a relation that tested positive for the coronavirus.
