Phillip Cocu SACKED by Derby County following disastrous start to the season sees them BOTTOM of the Championship… with striker Wayne Rooney seen as likely successor
Derby County have announced that they have parted ways with manager Phillip Cocu.
A club statement says the club have the Dutchman has left the contract via mutual consent.
Assistant Manager Chris van der Weerden and Specialist First Team Coach Twan Scheepers have also left the club.
Cocu’s time at the club has seen him win 18 games, draw 16 but lose 23 with 67 goals scored and 80 conceded.
Derby’s form this season has not been good enough and the club currently sit bottom of the table after 11 games.
