Natalie Portman stocks up on vegetables in Sydney as she prepares to film Thor: Love And Thunder

Longtime vegan Natalie Portman pushes a huge trolley load of leafy green vegetables in Sydney as she prepares to film for physically demanding role in Marvel’s Thor: Love And Thunder

She’s endured a gruelling fitness regime for her upcoming role in the Marvel sequel Thor: Love and Thunder.

And Natalie Portman ensured to retain the fruits of her labour as she stocked up on healthy foods at a local Woolworths supermarket in Sydney on Monday.

The Hollywood star, who has been a vegan since 2011, was seen carting out a trolley full of greens, including leeks, spinach, kale, lettuce and cauliflower.

Far from her red carpet glamour, Natalie kept things low-key in a white Ghostbusters top and casual denim shorts.

She added to her off-duty look with a pair of colourful laced trainers and went completely makeup free.

The Black Swan star cut a lone figure as she made her way to the checkout, where she transported the entirety of her food shop to the conveyor belt.

It seems that the star is planning on enjoying a diet of pasta, beans, vegetables, among other healthy choices for the next week or so.

Natalie’s low-key sighting comes after she revealed that she didn’t enjoy training for the role of Jane Foster in the new Thor: Love and Thunder.

The brunette said she’s been having trouble motivating herself and absolutely ‘dreads’ her fitness regime in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last month.

Natalie went on, saying quarantine gloom has also made getting back into the swing of things harder than normal.

Explaining, she said: ‘I’ve also had months of like pandemic, you know, eating baked goods and lying in bed and feeling sorry for myself.’

‘So I’m like super tired after working out, and during… and dreading before,’ said the Oscar-winner, who is currently in Australia getting ready for the fourth Thor film.

The film, which also stars Chris Hemsworth, is scheduled for a February 11, 2022 release but due to COVID-19 nothing is set in stone.

Thor: Love And Thunder will see Portman’s character, astrophysicist Jane Foster, take up the mantle of Thor after transforming into a female version of the Norse god.

Natalie is currently making the most of the Sydney sunshine with her husband, Benjamin Millepied, and their children, Aleph, nine, and Amalia, three, before filming begins for the hotly anticipated project.
