    • Gloria Alvarado, 15, vanished from her family home on November 1
    • Her mother went to wake her up and found her gone with the window in her bedroom open
    • The screen had been cut and the curtain was blowing in the wind, she said

The family of a 15-year-old girl who vanished from her Michigan home on November 1 have shared photos of the slashed window screen in her bedroom as they continue to search for clues of her whereabouts.

Gloria Alvarado has not been seen since the evening of November 1, when she went to bed in her family home in Taylor, Michigan.

When her mother went to wake her the next day, she was gone and the window in her bedroom was open.

The curtain was blowing in the wind and the window screen appeared to have been sliced. Gloria’s phone was still in her room but her toothbrush and some of her clothes are missing.

The family are at a loss over her disappearance, which they say is entirely out of character.

On the evening that she disappeared, an unidentified man was filmed on a neighbor’s surveillance camera approaching the Alvarado home but there is no sign of Gloria on in the footage.

Police have not yet said whether he returned to his car .

Detectives are now looking for information about the case and are scouring Gloria’s social media pages.

Her parents, meanwhile, are making impassioned pleas for her to come home.

On Tuesday morning, they appeared on Good Morning America to share details of the case.

‘It’s like she vanished into thin air. It was wide open, the screen was cut.

‘The curtain was jut hanging there. I started screaming, I ran out to my son and screamed, “Gloria’s gone! Gloria’s gone!”‘

Police were able to acquire a 14-second video from a neighbor from the night Gloria went missing. It shows a man appearing to approach the Alvarado home but cuts out before he returned

‘She likes hanging out with her family.

‘This was just so confusing and so unlike her. It’s overwhelming,’ her mother, Tina, said.

Gloria was described by her family as a straight-A student who never strays from home.

Police also say that she is generally a ‘good kid.’

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Andrew Snavely of the Taylor, Baldwin, police department at 734-287-661
