Season one and two of The Block, which were filmed in the Sydney suburbs of Bondi and Manly respectively, featured the emblem on the front of the home under the eaves, according to nine.com.au.

Fast forward to season 14 at The Gatwick Hotel, the nine dots were placed in the foyer and on the ceiling of the lift.

Meanwhile, the network’s symbol was placed at the front of each of the homes as a laser cut granite step during the makeover of The Oslo Hotel in Season 15.

Contestant Mitch Edwards said at the time: It looks so cool having those little Channel Nine dots.’

‘The owner of the home will always have this small tasteful symbol that this was part of Channel Nine, part of The Block,’ he added.

While it is not yet known where the nine dots have been place in this year’s season of The Block, the contestants gearing up for the auction, which will take place this Sunday.

The show’s co-executive producer Julian Cress told MediaWeek this week that the auctions will be filmed under COVID safe restrictions, with only 10 people plus the agent present.

‘Sadly, three of those people have to be camera operators which cuts it down to seven.’

‘Unfortunately, those auction restrictions ease up on Monday, but we have to complete the auction this weekend,’ he said.

‘We will also have to be outdoors and we can have up to seven bidders at each of the auctions,’ he added.
