The who’s who of Australian music reveal the unconventional ways they’ll be enjoying this year’s ARIA Awards

This year’s ARIA Awards have been another casualty of the coronavirus pandemic.

But while the award show will still go ahead, there’ll be no red carpet, with the who’s who of Australia’s music scene celebrating from the comfort of their own homes.

Ahead of Wednesday’s ARIAs, several musicians flocked to Instagram to share photos of the somewhat unconventional ways they’d be participating.

And many stars, including Jessica Mauboy, were more than happy to kick back on their couch.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Delta Goodrem via YouTube, with many ‘attendees’ employing the hashtag, ‘#ARIAsAtHome’.

In a post on the official ARIAs Instagram page on Wednesday, Delta appeared all dressed up in a shimmery dress as she stood in a doorframe seemingly at home.

‘We’re dressing up for the ARIA Awards (at home),’ read the caption.

Meanwhile, Jessica, 31, was more than happy to lie back on her couch with a glass of wine in hand.

The Little Things singer gladly traded stilettos for a pair of comfy looking slippers as she prepared to watch the awards show at home.

Graace took a similar approach to Jess, sipping on a glass of white wine as she lounged on her couch.

The Have Fun at Your Party singer opted for a revealing colourful wrap dress and a gold face mask as she sprawled out on her couch.

An open packet of chips sat beside her as she geared up for the music awards.

And while there’ll be no official red carpet this year, that didn’t stop DJ Havana Brown from rolling out her own.

The 35-year-old musician looked stunning as she posed confidently on a red carpet laid out by her swimming pool.

She opted for an ankle-length red dress with a thigh-high split and strategically placed cutout panelling on the bodice.

Havana wasn’t the only star who opted for a BYO red carpet ahead of this year’s ARIAs.

Fanny Lumsden posed on a red carpet rolled out on the sprawling hills of Tooma in rural New South Wales.

‘@fannylumsden rolling out the red carpet for the #ARIAsAtHome from beautiful #Tooma in #NSW!’ read the caption on the ARIA Instagram page.

More to come.
