A woman has been left horrified after her Kmart shop came to $94,369 when the self-serve checkout she was using experienced a glitch.

The Australian woman was purchasing a 50-piece utensil set, which included knives, a chopping board and a spatula.

The item typically retails for just $19.

But the woman was in for the shock of her life when the self-serve checkout she was using revealed the item cost $94,150.

It brought the total of her shop to $94,369. 

The error was put down to a technical glitch. 

‘I know you can spend a lot at Kmart, but this is a bit much,’ the woman jokingly shared online.

Other social medias were left stunned at what had happened. 

‘I’ve taken a screen shot of this so that whenever I am walking out of Kmart wondering how I was able to spend that much, I can look at the photo and stop feeling guilty,’ one person said.

Another said: ‘I would have completely passed out at that price… I hope she collected the Flybuys though.’

One person said: ‘When I go to Kmart for one thing.’
