They starred together on the famous teen drama about a group of teenagers growing up in the affluent neighborhood of Beverly Hills.

Tori Spelling, 47, and Jennie Garth, 48, remembered their late co-star Luke Perry nearly two years after his death following complications from a stroke.

Spelling admitted on their iHeartRadio podcast 90210MG that Luke’s death still ‘doesn’t feel real’ while Garth revealed she still has a difficult time accepting he’s gone.

Perry died on March 4, 2019 after suffering a stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks, California.

‘It still doesn’t feel real,’ Spelling said, to which Garth revealed, ‘I still don’t accept it, in a weird way.’

Luke portrayed angsty teen Dylan McKay for six seasons and returned as a special guest for the final two seasons of Aaron Spelling’s hit drama.

Jennie and Tori starred as best friends and roommates on the long-running show created by Darren Star.

‘He made everyone he talked to feel special, but it was genuine,’ Spelling added.

McKay was best friends with Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestley) and fell in and out of love with Garth’s character Kelly Taylor, with the on-screen couple eventually having a son together named Sammy.

‘Luke is such an of-the-Earth human being,’ Garth said. ‘That character, you saw a lot of what Luke Perry was … With Luke, you loved him the minute you met him and you were engaged by his charisma.

‘But it was not, like, over-the-top it was just this calm, easy vibe that he would give off to everyone. I think that Dylan did that too and that’s why America and the world fell in love with him.’

Perry died shortly before the 90210 reboot began filming, which left the cast at a loss without his presence.

‘When we first got together for the first promo shoot, there was a moment, it was heartbreaking, where Ian [Ziering] slipped,’ Spelling said. ‘We were waiting for all of us, and we, you know, we count — it’s like when you have kids and you count your kids — there’s always eight of us, and you count. Ian turned around and said, “Where’s Luke?” and then I saw him catch himself, and he turned away.

‘I could see his heart breaking and he started to cry,’ she continued. ‘But it was what we were all thinking though. Like he was just not there. We didn’t feel complete, and we still don’t.’

Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Shannen Doherty also starred in the BH90210 reboot, which toasted to Perry in its premiere episode.

‘He had such an impact on the world,’ Spelling said. ‘He was just as special as [everyone] thought he was, or wanted him to be, and even more so.’
