Black Friday commuter chaos in Sydney as cancelled trains cause massive delays after drivers walked off the job overnight
Commuters in New South Wales are being warned there will be massive delays on Friday morning due to workers walking off the job overnight.
Services affected include the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Newcastle and South Coast lines.
Trains are expected to begin running again at 7am but only with limited services.
‘Due to industrial action earlier TrainLink services have been suspended,’ Transport for NSW wrote on Twitter.

‘Train preperation is now commencing to resume services across the TrainLink network.’
Commuters are being told to allow ‘plenty of extra travel time’ or consider alternative travel arrangements.
While preparations are taking place to resume the services there are warnings that flow on delays may still impact services throughout the day.
Commuters have been outraged by the delays with many claiming there was little-to-no warning it was going to occur.
‘The only people affected by this snap strike are the commuters this morning. And you’ve already stopped? Plan better crew,’ one man wrote on Twitter.
