The security guard who was filmed choking a teenager unconscious and then dragging his motionless body outside has been sacked.
Footage emerged of the shocking moment the young patron was placed in a headlock, thrown to the ground and manhandled out by the bouncer.
Police are now investigating the alleged incident which occurred in front of stunned patrons at the Dorset Gardens Hotel in Croydon in the city’s east on November 14.
The viral video shows a masked security guard placing his arms around the patron’s neck from behind while two colleagues watch on nearby.
The 18-year-old appears to pass out and and is thrown to the ground head first as a group of women sitting at a table in the nearby bar area watch on in horror.

Hotel management initially admitted the incident ‘should have been handled better’, but would not specify whether the security guard would still be working at the hotel.
Today the pub caved to public pressure after an ugly online backlash and revealed the bouncer has been fired after working at the venue for more than a decade.
‘He won’t be working at Dorset Gardens ever again,’ senior manager Anthony Poloso who has worked at the venue for for 21 years told Daily Mail Australia.
‘We have had a backlash from loud and outraged people.
‘Our staff have been harassed online and over the phone. My receptionists have had a really hard time over the past 24 hours so that has been really confronting for them.’
Mr Poloso said Dorset Garden is cooperating fully with investigations being carried out by police.
‘It is a really unfortunate incident for everyone involved. For the kid as well as the guard who has lost his career over it,’ he said.
‘He worked here for 10 years doing 40 to 50 hours a week and we never had an incident like this with him ever.
‘He was loved by the patrons and the staff alike.’

The teen had been kicked out earlier for being ‘too rowdy’.
The venue claimed he then re-entered the pub via the back fence and jumped behind the bar, where he poured himself a beer.
‘Investigators have been told a male was ejected from the Dorset Road premises before returning a short time later,’ a Victoria Police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia.
‘An altercation occurred between the man and security before he was ejected a second time.’
The footage sparked a horrified reaction from shocked witnesses.
‘Everyone was just like, ‘Whoa, what’s going on” Louise Bramberry said.
‘He was doing the wrong thing, but I don’t reckon he deserved it.
The footage also sparked an angry reaction online.
‘Would like to see what came beforehand, but I don’t see any excuse for throwing him, or carrying him out & risking further injury,’ one tweeted.
Another added: ‘Bouncers certainly have to deal with idiots, but… has to be a ‘within reason’ approach – this appears to be not.’
