Brentford 2-1 QPR: Thomas Frank’s side make it seven matches unbeaten as Ivan Toney scores his 12th goal of the season to push the Bees into the play-off places

  • The hosts went ahead after a thumping shot from midfielder Vitaly Janelt

Ivan Toney scored his 12th goal in 14 league games this season to send Brentford into fourth with a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers.

The hosts took the lead through a well-struck shot from outside the box by Vitaly Janelt before Lyndon Dykes equalised 12-minutes later from close range after a good cross by Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Constant pressure in the second-half led to the Bees re-taking the lead through Ivan Toney after 64 minutes. 

Todd Kane was sent off for a second-yellow in the closing stages as Thomas Frank’s side held on to take a hard-fought three points.
