Diane Keaton jokes about being lonely on quarantine during a visit with Ellen DeGeneres: ‘I could use a man or two’

She was happy to be around friends after enduring months under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And Diane Keaton was in a jovial mood to see longtime pal Ellen DeGeneres for an appearance on her popular talk show.

The 74-year-old actress was pleased to be in public as she bumped elbows with the host before scanning the smaller studio audience.

‘Wow, this is so different … It’s nice to be distant from you,’ she said. ‘This feels so weird because usually I’m closer — duh!’

Keaton added: ‘No, it’s very attractive. I mean, I don’t mind being closer to people.’

DeGeneres quickly responded: ‘But you just said it’s nice to be distant.’

The First Wives Club star quipped: ‘Well, right now because we don’t wanna die. Not today, anyway. Or ever maybe!’

She then asked any single men to raise their hands and stand up to show themselves in the crowd.

‘You know, I’ve been holed up at the house alone. I could use a man or two!’ Keaton said before standing up and blowing kisses at the men. ‘No, not a good idea?’

‘No, no. You’re not gonna get frisky right now,’ DeGeneres said. ‘Just keep drinking wine. Should I go to break?’

Before Diane noted the dating pool, a glass of wine appeared on the coffee table between the two women.

‘You know what I like about this show? The wine,’ she said. ‘I mean, most people don’t have wine for me, but when I come on, Ellen is so generous about that.’

‘That’s our new promo,’ Ellen joked, ‘ ‘You know what I like about this show? The wine!’ That’ll get ’em here.’
