It’s certainly an unprecedented time.

And Jason Sudeikis accepted the Best Comedy Actor award for his Ted Lasso role wearing a tie-dye hoodie at the 78th annual Golden Globes on Sunday evening.

The 45-year-old actor also gave a shoutout to his six-year-old son Otis while accepting the coveted award amid a tumultuous time in his life after splitting with Olivia Wilde late last year.

Winner winner: Jason Sudeikis accepted the Best Comedy Actor award for his Ted Lasso role wearing a tie-dye hoodie at the 78th annual Golden Globes on Sunday evening

Jason, who’s currently based in London filming the second season of his popular Apple+ show, appeared to be enjoying a regular night in as he accepted the award.

Wearing a vibrant tie-dyed sweatshirt and holding a pen in his hand, he was caught off guard as his name was called out to win.

‘Wow all right. Can I talk now yeah boy, okay. Yeah, I mean, that’s nuts,’ he said. ‘I want to thank everyone that works on the show. I read this book to my son, Otis, called “The three questions.” It’s three questions … When’s the best time to do things, What is the right thing to do, and then who is the most important one?

‘And that last question, who’s the most important one is like whoever the person you are with. So I kind of reject the premise of being the best actor, because in my humble opinion the best actor is the person you are acting with.

‘So I want to give a shoutout to everyone that I get a chance to act with on the show because they are incredible. Do they make me the best no, but I know for a fact that they make me better. Better than I am better than I thought I could be better than, you know, than, you know, than anything I could do and so, I appreciate everybody looking out.’

As Jason spoke, Don Cheadle began motioning to hurry up, to which Sudeikis responded: ‘And Don’s right. I have to wrap it up,never been my forte. A little windy a little windy thank you, I appreciate you guys and shoutout to my fellow nominees thank you.’

Sudeikis edged out Don Cheadle (Black Monday), Nicholas Hoult (The Great), Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek) and Ramy Youssef (Ramy), who took the honor last year.

Later in the show, Tina paid homage to Jason’s casual approach to the show: ‘Also, if anybody wants to know where they can get Jason Sudeiks’ hoodie, go to nbc.com/globe fashion.’

Twitter users joked that Sudeikis looked ‘super high’ and ‘super divorced’ in his rambling speech during the live telecast.

Late last year, Jason split with longtime love, Olivia Wilde, who went on to date Harry Styles after meeting on her film Don’t Worry Darling

Olivia and Jason were engaged for seven years and had two children together before calling it quits, but remain committed to amicably co-parenting.
